About Me

I’m a Puerto Rican writer with work featured or forthcoming in The New York Times, Orion Magazine, Atticus Review, Catapult, Lonely Planet and The Caribbean Writer.I contributed a chapter on environmental justice in Vieques, Puerto Rico, to The World We Need (The New Press, 2021). My book, La narrativa activista de Rosario Ferré (McGraw-Hill Spain, 2020), explores feminism and national identity in Ferré's early work.I hold master's degrees in Latin American literature and creative writing, and I graduated from the Book Project at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, where I was a fellow. I’m pursuing a Ph.D. in Caribbean literature and working on an autobiographical novel.
